What we've achieved

Thanks to the support of people like you, the Stars Appeal has already helped to fund a range of extra care, facilities and equipment benefiting thousands of local people. This includes:
 

• The new Cardiac Suite - through our ‘Cardiac Care Fund’
• Equipment and facilities worth £1million, greatly enhancing the new Children’s Unit - part of our ‘Caring 4 Kids campaign’
• The highly advanced keyhole cancer surgery suite - our ‘Keyhole Cancer campaign’
• State-of-the-art treatment and diagnostic equipment to help premature babies - our Little Lives campaign’
• Advanced equipment and specialist therapy and counselling for patients with cancer and blood disorders - though our ‘Pembroke Unit Fund’
• The Bereavement Suite where relatives can be offered the time and support that they need
• A dedicated children’s waiting and treatment area in the Accident and Emergency Department - part of our ‘Caring 4 Kids campaign’
• A huge range of other projects benefiting patients throughout many other wards and departments within the hospital
