Wilton House Charity Clay Shoot, Friday 15th May 2009 at Wilton Estate

Lord Pembroke is again opening his grounds to host the second annual Wilton House Charity Clay Shoot. This event is a wonderful opportunity to shoot on this beautiful estate. To enter your team, please contact the Appeal Office.

Walk for Wards, Sunday 21st June 2009 at Wilton Estate.

A sponsored walk around the beautiful Wilton Estate starting and finishing at Wilton House. Free entry, free lunch and free admission to the Wilton House grounds and huge adventure playground afterwards subject to all participants raising a minimum £15 sponsorship (we hope you'll raise lots more!). A great day for the whole family, you can choose between a 10k or 3k route and walk to support any area of Salisbury District Hospital.

British 10k London Run, Sunday 12th July 2009

Take part in this fantastic 10k road run around the streets of London. The route takes in all the big sights and there is entertainment throughout the route. For more information please phone Hannah on 01722 429005.

Supercars at Wilton House – Sunday 9th August

In the grounds of Wilton House, an amazing opportunity to get up close and personal with up to 100 of the worlds fastest and most expensive supercars. Combining the glorious setting of Wilton and some of the most beautiful cars ever produced, the Stars Appeal and Lord Pembroke would like to welcome you to Wilton to enjoy a wonderful day out in aid of the Caring 4 Kids campaign.

Great South Run, Sunday 25th October 2009

The BUPA Great South Run takes place in Portsmouth and is Britain's leading 10-mile running event. A fast, flat route in Southsea, Portsmouth is the ideal course to record a personal best and is regarded as one of the most popular road races in the United Kingdom. An Evening with Johnnie Walker - Autumn 2009 Date TBC

In a career that spans five decades, DJ and Stars Appeal Patron Johnnie Walker has one of the most recognisable voices in radio. In an evening covering forty years of broadcasting, Johnnie give deeply personal and charming account of his highs and lows! Keep an eye on www.starsappeal.org for the date/venue.

Tidworth 10k & 3k Fun Run, November 2009, date TBC

A fantastic sponsored run across Salisbury Plain, starting and finishing at the beautiful Tedworth House. Organised by the Army, this is a great opportunity to run on normally restricted land and raise money for the Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal. Denise Wright, the Lady Captain of Salisbury & South Wilts Golf Club, has chosen the Stars Appeal Stroke Unit Fund to be her charity for 2009. Events will take place throughout the year.

Family Fun Day, Saturday 27th June, 3pm – 7pm at Laverstock Football Ground

A fun day for the whole family with traditional games and activities including Coconut Shy, Wet Sponge Throwing and Treasure Hunt. Kindly organised by Keith Noble and Laverstock & Ford Sports Club in aid of the Caring 4 Kids campaign.

Choral Concert in aid of the Stroke Unit, Saturday 27th June, 7.30pm at Church of St Alban the Martyr, Larkhill

Larkhill and Andover Choral Societies will combine with the Larkhill Sinfonia for this fantastic event that will feature over 100 singers and musicians The evening’s exciting programme will feature well-loved music commemorating the anniversaries of Handel and Haydn. Clare Minting will be singing soprano, Nina Alupii-Morton, mezzo-soprano, Ólafur Rúnarsson, tenor and Rory Waters bass with Peter Ford conducting. Tickets are £10, including refreshments available on the door or from Musicroom in Salisbury.

Summer Craft Fair, Saturday 27th June, 10am – 4pm at Quidhampton Village Hall

Lots of great stalls with goodies to treat yourself or someone else! This event is raising money for the Pembroke Unit.

888 Music Festival, Saturday 22nd August, 3pm – 11pm at Philipps House, Dinton

A mixture of rock, pop and soul artists and bands made up of staff and friends of Salisbury District Hospital with the fabulous backdrop of Philipps House, Dinton. Street Collections

We hold regular street collections at supermarkets and town centres all over Salisbury District Hospital’s catchment area. We are always looking for ‘tin shakers’ to help us so if you would like to join the team please give Hannah a call on 01722 429005.
