Spire FM Charity

Spire FM Charity of the Year 2009, 2010 & and 2011!

We are delighted that Spire FM have chosen to continue our successful partnership, choosing the Stars Appeal Pembroke Unit Fund as their Chosen Charity for 2011. This follows a very successful two year partnership between Spire FM and the Stars Appeal’s Caring 4 Kids Campaign. The Spire FM crew will work with Pembroke Unit staff and patients to bring their stories to their audience, and help to raise extra funds to make patients’ experience on the Pembroke Unit even better.

Ceri Hurford-Jones, Managing Director of Spire FM, said “Spire FM and the Stars Appeal have worked together with enormous success for the last two years. This year my team chose to support the Pembroke Unit Fund, in recognition of the extraordinary care they give to local people with cancer and blood disorders.”

The Pembroke Unit is the specialist treatment centre for people with cancer, blood disorders and haematological conditions from across south Wiltshire, north and east Dorset and west Hampshire. The team provides vital care for patients and their families, from diagnosis, through treatment and then as they return to home and work.

The Spire FM partnership with the Stars Appeal Pembroke Unit Fund will run throughout 2011. The main fundraising event will be the annual Big Auction on Spire FM, supported by the Salisbury Journal, on Thursday 6th October For more information visit www.spirefm.co.uk
